| Beijing to host political consultations between Latvian and Chinese foreign ministries |

RIGA, Oct 18 (LETA) - Tomorrow, October 19, political consultations between Latvian and Chinese foreign ministries will get under way in China's Beijing, as LETA learned at the Foreign Ministry's Information and Public Relations Bureau.
During the visit to China, meetings will be held for the Latvian delegation with the Chinese Foreign Ministry as well as a Shanghai Cooperation Organization whose Secretariat is located in Beijing.
Most attention during these meetings will be paid to recent developments in international security policy, co-operation of regional organizations and fight against international terrorism. Also discussed will be co-operation between the European Union and China, as well as issues that pertain to Latvian-Chinese bilateral relations.
The Latvian delegation will be headed by the Foreign Ministry's political director Ilgvars Klava, the Chinese - by Foreign Vice Minister Wu Dawei. |
