From October 2 to 5, 2008 at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre will take place the international furniture and interior design fair Baltic Furniture 2008. Its mission is to improve living space, to promote the development of furniture design and to facilitate cooperation between furniture manufacturers, field professionals and consumers in the Baltics.
The exhibition Baltic Furniture is the most important event for the Baltic furniture manufacturers, who follow the newest tendencies of the field, introduce different novelties and keep widening their sphere of activity.
In 2008 the exhibition Baltic Furniture for the first time will take up two pavilions, gathering much bigger amount of participants and presenting to visitors even wider offer. Display will consist of home, office and garden furniture, furniture accessories, design items, complementary parts and finishing materials. There also will be offered designers’ and furniture restoration services, furniture designing software and special literature.
To stimulate the development of the Baltic furniture design will be held the competition for Baltic furniture manufacturers Baltic Furniture 2008. Furniture pieces entered for the competition will contend for the title of the Baltic best furniture.
In last exhibition took part 169 companies from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Belarus, as well as from the USA, Israel, Vietnam, China, India, Italy, Malaysia, Russia, Spain and Germany. It was visited by 35,907 field professionals and other visitors.
The exhibition Baltic Furniture is organized by the International Exhibition Company BT 1 in cooperation with the association Latvijas mēbeles, the Estonian Wood Processing Association Eesti Puutööliit and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.
